I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
